Nothing new is here as yet. This site has just been created at the time when the YJ Regional year is over and people are off to Young Judaea Camps. However, check back at the end of August/beginning of September for all the years plans.

YJ Lingo
Often, newcomers to Young Judaea wonder what all the Hebrew words we use in the movement mean. Here is a quick dictionary of all the positions on regional board and useful words to know...
Mazkirut: An elected board of directors for a specific area.
Members of Mazkirut's Jobs:
~Mazkira: President of the area
~Assistant Vice President (AVP): helps with the money stuff as well as raising money.
~Bogrim Programmer (BP): programs activities for kids grades 8-12.
~Ofie-Tsofie Programmer (OTP): Programs activities for the younger kids, grades 2-7.
~Pirsumim: Creates the area's newspaper and website. *Like the lovely one you are looking at now.*
~Club Coordinator (CC): helps coordinate the clubs in the area.
~Social Action Programmer: programs all the projects to help Israel in the area. Tikkun Olam.
~Gesher Shalom: Bridge of Peace. (Long Island Region.)
~Tel Yehuda: Senior Leadership Camp of Young Judaea
~Camp Sprout Lake: Junior Camp of Young Judaea
~Asepha: voting process in Young Judaea
Meet the Mazkirut
This year at Spring Convention in Barryville, New York, the new mazkirut, or board of elected directors for the region, was voted in. A special goodbye to Rachel Goldfarb, our has-been mazkira. *president.*
